About Me

I've always believed that endurance sports are about far more than crossing the finish line. They're about discovering what's possible when you commit to something difficult. As a husband, father, business executive, Ironman 70.3 athlete, and endurance coach, I understand firsthand what it takes to pursue ambitious goals while balancing the demands of work, family, and everyday life. I know what it's like to fit training into early mornings, travel for business, push through setbacks, and still show up on race day ready to perform. That perspective shapes the way I coach. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all training plans. Every athlete has a unique story, schedule, and motivation. My role is to build a plan that fits your life while helping you unlock your full potential. Whether you're training for your first sprint triathlon, chasing a new personal best, qualifying for a championship event, or simply becoming healthier and stronger, we'll create a path that is both challenging and sustainable. My coaching philosophy is centered on three principles: Consistency beats perfection. Purpose creates confidence. The journey should be as rewarding as the finish line. You'll receive individualized training, honest feedback, race strategy, nutrition guidance, accountability, and a coach who genuinely cares about your progress. I celebrate every victory from completing your first open-water swim to setting a new PR because every milestone matters. The greatest reward in coaching isn't watching athletes cross the finish line. It's watching them become more confident, more resilient, and realize they are capable of far more than they ever believed. If you're ready to train smarter, race stronger, and enjoy the process along the way, I'd love to help you get there.

Philosophy

Every athlete has untapped potential. My job isn't simply to write workouts; it's to help you become a stronger, healthier, more confident athlete who enjoys the process as much as the finish line. My coaching is built on science, guided by data, and personalized for the realities of your life. Here's what you can expect when we work together. Personalized, Never Generic No two athletes are alike. Your training plan is built around your experience, physiology, goals, strengths, weaknesses, and lifestyle. Whether you're preparing for your first triathlon or pursuing a personal best, your program evolves as you do. Training with Purpose Every workout has a reason. Using metrics such as heart rate, pace, power, training stress, and recovery data, I continually evaluate your progress and adjust your training to maximize performance while minimizing unnecessary fatigue. We train smarter not simply harder. Build the Foundation First Great performances begin with efficient movement. I emphasize mobility, stability, strength, and proper movement mechanics before adding training volume or intensity. By identifying movement limitations early through assessments like the Active Body Check (ABC), we create athletes who are not only faster, but more durable. Stay Healthy. Stay Consistent. Fitness isn't built by training through injury; it's built through consistency. Injury prevention is woven into every training plan through intelligent progression, recovery, strength work, and education. I'll help you understand the difference between productive fatigue, normal soreness, and the warning signs that require attention. Life Comes Before Training The best training plan is one that works with your life, not against it. Career demands, family commitments, travel, sleep, and stress all influence performance. Rather than forcing you to fit your life around training, I adapt your training to complement the life you're already living. Recovery Creates Performance Adaptation happens during recovery, not during the workout. I prioritize rest, sleep, recovery sessions, and appropriate training intensity so your body can absorb the work and continue progressing. Sometimes the smartest workout is the one you don't do. A True Coaching Partnership Communication is the foundation of successful coaching. You'll receive regular feedback, education, accountability, and honest conversations throughout your journey. I want you to understand why you're doing each workout so you become a smarter, more confident athlete not someone who simply follows a training plan. Why I Coach Coaching gives me the opportunity to help people discover what they're truly capable of. I've experienced the early mornings, the setbacks, the self-doubt, and the incredible satisfaction that comes from accomplishing something you once thought was impossible. Those experiences fuel my passion for helping others achieve their own breakthroughs. My goal is simple: to help you become the strongest version of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whether you're chasing your first finish line, your fastest race, or simply a healthier lifestyle, I'll meet you where you are, challenge you to grow, and support you every step of the way. Because success isn't measured only by medals or finish times. It's measured by the confidence you gain in the person you become.

Experience

More Than a Coach. Your Training Partner. Triathlon has shaped who I am not just as an athlete, but as a husband, father, leader, and coach. Over the years, I've learned that success isn't measured only by finish times or podiums. It's built through consistency, resilience, smart training, and the confidence that comes from knowing you're capable of more than you ever imagined. As a 70.3 Ironman athlete, endurance coach, and lifelong student of performance, I specialize in helping athletes balance ambitious goals with real life. Whether you're preparing for your first sprint triathlon, chasing a personal best at Ironman 70.3, or simply looking to become stronger and healthier, every training plan is built specifically for you, not pulled from a template or AI. My coaching philosophy is simple: Train with purpose. Race with confidence. Enjoy the journey. I believe the best performances happen when athletes understand why they're training, not just what they're doing. You'll receive personalized programming, regular communication, detailed workout feedback, race strategy, nutrition guidance, and the accountability that keeps you moving forward even when motivation fades. I've experienced the early mornings, the setbacks, the injuries, the breakthroughs, and the unforgettable finish lines. That experience allows me to coach from a place of empathy as much as expertise. When you work with me, you're getting more than a training plan. You're gaining a coach who is fully invested in your success, someone who celebrates every milestone, helps you navigate every challenge, and believes your biggest breakthrough is still ahead. If you're ready to become faster, stronger, and more confident while enjoying the process, I'd be honored to be part of your journey. Let's build something extraordinary one workout at a time.
